"Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded.  It's a relationship between equals...Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity."

~Pema Chodron

Clare loves yoga for how it can offer relief in times of stress and support for healing. She teaches yin yoga, gentle hatha yoga, and trauma-sensitive yoga, in slow, mindful classes designed to nourish physical and emotional flexibility and a sense of well-being. She’s inspired by yin teacher Paul Grilley and trauma-sensitive teacher David Emerson, both of whom encourage people to focus on what they feel in their bodies as they practice, and to attentively choose how they want to move, stretch, and come into stillness.

Clare is a 200 level hatha yoga teacher, and has completed 70 hours of yin teacher training with Sarah Powers and Paul Grilley, and 300 hours of trauma-sensitive training led by David Emerson, becoming a facilitator of Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, an adjunct treatment for complex trauma. She has 900 hours experience teaching yoga in English and Spanish.

Off the mat, Clare loves songwriting and storytelling, and sharing yoga, music, and movement with kids and adults.
